Hatikva Quater, (quarter of hope) in Tel Aviv, Israel,famouse for its market and numerous restaurants, is a very close and friendly neighbourhood where everybody knows everybody else and although it is relatively a low to middle class place people care for each other and there is a great emphasis in the comunity on education, culture and social volunteering.

Kler Tanakji, Mother of 7 children, who in daily life is an active taxi driver, was elected in 1999 as “Mother of the Quarter” at Hatikva Quarter for her voluntary contribution to the comunity. For years she was looking after elderly people and was their “chauffeur” whenever and to wherever they needed to go, free of charge.
