Hatikva Quater, (quarter of hope) in Tel Aviv, Israel,famouse for its market and numerous restaurants, is a very close and friendly neighbourhood where everybody knows everybody else and although it is relatively a low to middle class place people care for each other and there is a great emphasis in the comunity on education, culture and social volunteering.

In 1995 Leah Bahar was elected “Mother of the Quarter” at Hatikva Quarter for her voluntary contribution to the comunity, especially aiding the old and the poor along with local policing and caring for the environment.

In her 70’s, Leah has mobility problems but she knows that as she took care of other people in the past, she will not be forgotten, now, that she might need help herself.(//www.dajiyuan.com)
