裁红(彩墨)
这是一处秋景。最大的特色是整张画几乎不用笔,所有大小山的皴纹都是用毛巾拍打而成(无以名之,名之曰“毛巾皴”)。
毛巾皴最能表现出台湾山林特有的植被景观。台湾因为多雨,所以没有一座山是秃秃溜溜的。即使没有树,也会长满野草,有时看过去无垠无际的,宛如大陆华北平原上一望无际的麦田景色。
此刻秋树刚换上红装,野草也开始泛褐,天候开始转凉,秋意在画中递送开来。

The most notable feature of this fall scene is that there are almost no brushstrokes. The folds of the mountains have been created by slapping the paper with a towel (there’s no real name for this, but they can be called “towel wrinkles”).
Towel wrinkles are the best way to portray Taiwan’s distinctive mountain forests. Because of the plentiful rain, the mountains in Taiwan are never completely bare. Even when there are no trees, the mountains are still covered with wild grass, and sometimes you can see practically forever. It is sometimes like the endless wheat fields of northern China.
This autumn tree has just changed into its red finery, and the wild grass is beginning to turn dry and brown. The weather is turning cold, and the painting captures the fall mood.@
