阿拉巴馬州摩根縣（Morgan County）警長辦公室在推特發表消息證實說，有7人死亡，包括成年男性和女性，但警長辦公室未透露死者的年齡或身分。調查目前仍在繼續，該地區的公眾並不面臨直接威脅。

位於伯明翰（Birmingham）市的WBMA-LD報導說，目前尚未傳出任何嫌疑人被拘留。

槍擊事件發生在田納西河（Tennessee River）附近亨茨維爾東南約21英里的瓦爾赫爾莫索泉（Valhermoso Springs）。
