【大紀元2019年03月30日訊】（大紀元記者洪雅文編譯報導）美國總統川普（特朗普）週五（3月29日）重申，如果墨西哥「不立即阻止（停止）所有非法移民從該國進入美國」，華盛頓下週將關閉美國與墨西哥的邊境，或兩國鄰近的大部分地區邊境。
路透社報導，川普過去一再誓言要關閉美墨邊境，他29日表示下週可能將落實行動，並繼續要求合作的中美洲那些庇護難民的國加強作業。川普在推特上說，「國會現在必須改變我們弱勢的移民法，墨西哥必須阻止非法移民通過他們的國家和從南部邊境進入美國。」
推文上也寫道，「墨西哥每年從美國賺取超過1000億美元，墨西哥多年來從美國發了大財，遠遠超過邊境成本。如果墨西哥沒有立即阻止所有非法移民通過我們的南部邊境進入美國，我將在下週關閉邊境或邊境的大部分地區。」
「這對墨西哥來說太容易了，他們只是拿走我們的錢而且光『說』不做。邊境關閉會是件很好的事情！」川普寫道。

美國國土安全部的一名高級官員表示，該機構正在往美國南部邊境入境口、各個過境點以及鄰近地區之間調派人員，搜捕非法移民。
從川普開始競選總統以來，非法移民跨越美國南方邊境的問題一直是其主要關注的議題之一，川普上任後開始強化邊境的取締政策及措施，並對非法移民強暴犯和毒販施以刑事處罰。
墨西哥總統奧夫拉多爾（Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador）週四（3月28日）表示，打擊非法移民問題是美國和中美洲當前主要待解決的問題。
美國邊境巡邏隊每天都面對越來越多來自中美洲的家庭和無人陪伴的未成年人，非法移民過境的流量仍繼續增加。海關與邊境保護局局長麥克利南（Kevin McAleenan）27日表示，最近大量非法移民湧入德州埃爾帕索（El Paso）迫使移民系統瀕臨「破裂點」。#
