許多小鳥圍聚在鳥籠外

吱吱喳喳地鳴叫著，蹦跳著

向籠中的老鷹遞送羨慕之情：

多麼舒適呀！多麼尊貴呀！

不必付出什麼勞動

要吃有得吃，要睡有得睡……

當發現有人前來

那些小鳥倏地一溜煙飛走了

這下羨慕的換成籠中的老鷹了：

天空任鳥飛

大自然藏有無限樂趣

小鳥可以自由來去

縱有雄心壯志，牠卻怎麼展翅

都被鳥籠的欄柵所阻……

The Event of the Birds　Hsu ChiCheng

There are many little birds surround outside the birdcage

They chirp and skip

Present envy toward the eagle inside:

How comfortable you are! And how honourable you are!

Good feed and fine sleep

Without offer labour

The little birds fly away on a blink

While they find there is someone arrived

It takes turn to the eagle to envy them this time:

The vast sky let all birds to glide

There are so much pleasure saved in the nature

The little birds can to and fro freely

Bar by the railings of the birdcage to spread his wings

Though he has a lofty aspiration@
